The Skagit Wading Boot features a sticky, lugged rubber sole, with specially designed pre drilled holes suitable for screw-in cleats. You'll also notice the inclusion of crushed walnut shells that have been impregnated into the sole for added traction. Our Simms studs designed for Vibram technology work great with these boots. We highly recommend studding them for the best traction possible. These rubber soles are also fantastic for hiking in to your favorite fishing hole, rock hopping on dry rocks, or fishing when snow is on the ground. You'll notice that all seams are double stitched for added durability. Something you'll not often see on boots in this price category.
