Melanogaster Fruit Flies are 1/16" compared to Hydei at 1/8". They are wingless but can easily climb smooth surfaces. Each culture is made with OUR PROVEN High Yield FRUIT FLY MEDIA containing all the vitamins, minerals, and color enhancers that your pets need to thrive. For optimal production Fruit Fly Cultures should be kept around 70-80 F.

Product Description

Melanogaster fruit flies culture in about 14 days Maggots start appearing in about 4 days after re-culturing Eggs start hatching in about 8-14 days. The culture is less likely to mold or crash More forgiving to low humidity or incorrect temperatures. Most cultures will have 2-3 booms, within 5-7 days between each one. Each culture should produce 300+ fruit flies each time you re-culture it. LIve Arrival Guarantee: Temperatures do not drop below 32 degrees or above 85 degrees during transit and product is delivered priority post with guaranteed delivery date. Package cannot be left in mailbox or post office box. Any damage must be reported within 12 hours with photos of packaging and product. We do our best to pack; we add an ice pack, but, we cannot guarantee live arrival when temperature is above 85 degrees.
